- Austria: Sound of Music tour in Salzburg (if you’re a fan!), catacombs under St. Stephens in Vienna, Schonbrunn Palace
- Cambodia: Tonle Sap (a day trip from Siem Reap)
- Greece: Naxos – climb Mt. Zeus, rent a car and get lost in mountain villages; Santorini – visit Oia
- Japan: Nara, visit an onsen, walk by the rivers in Kyoto, Tsukiji fish market
- Laos: Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang (especially during Lao New Year!)
- Nepal: Annapurna Circuit, Chitwan National Park
